London is the most exciting metropolis with people all over the world  coming to visit the capital.  Already seen one or two leading fashion editors in John Lewis , Oxford Street, no doubt looking for the key trends this season prior to the shows.

Florals abound, whether  vintage roses, or exotic orchids with an oriental twist. Try a tunic with jeans, or a shrug in apricot roses with a black tshirt and 50s skirt.  Lace has a new lease of life with lace lace motifs drifting on silky skirts with mesh overlay and  wide elastic waistband. Don't keep lace for evenings or events but try for day -perfect for a 50s Audrey Hepburn look , perhaps with a black top with laser cutouts emulating the lace.

Geometric designs are everywhere, with spirals and stripes, curves and octagonal blocks.  They look best in edgy spring coats and dresses with the new cocoon shapes- and are a key trend this summer.  i like bright florals combined with neutral geometrics for an edgy fashion statment.

Pleats are back, whether defining a shapely silhouette or floating drapey styles in sensuous satin or matt crepe and chiffon..  In store now, -but do look out for our ombre print maxi with matching "Isadora" scarf , for beach discos and night life in Monte Carlo in our summer ranges.  Textured cottons contrast with these satin pieces and are perfect for work or play.  Vivacious coral is key and adds a note of drama to black and ivory  monotone.  A coral dress with a black jacket, a black dress with a coral coat -try a single coral piece-and the key colour this summer will be white, from brilliant white to ivory in skinny jeans, button back tunics, silk t-tops .  chesca will sizzle this summer!
